9LivesData is proud to announce that we have entered into a distributor agreement with NEC Corporation Japan to sell the entire range of HYDRAstor products in the Polish market.

The HYDRAstor is a novel distributed disk-based scalable system for backup and archival data, providing features like global deduplication, self-management, automatic failure-recovery and non-stop operation. The system is on-sale in the US and Japan for over six years, and its most recent, 4th generation was released in 2013.

The HYDRAstor is recognized as the most scalable and the fastest deduplication system in the worldwide market according to an independent analyst and backup guru W. Curtis Preston. The 4th generation system scales out from a single node to the enterprise solution with raw capacity over 7.9 PB and performance of over 1 PB/h.

NEC HYDRAstor also captured the top Best-in-Class ranking, as well as four of the top five Recommended rankings in the DCIG 2013 Midrange Deduplicating Backup Appliance Buyer’s Guide containing objective evaluations of more than 45 offerings from 10 companies.
